RCVS responds to disquiet over Michael Gove’s comments

We recognise that considerable disquiet has arisen following comments made by Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs Michael Gove, concerning the level of training of EU citizens working in the meat industry.

RCVS increases vet fees by 3%

At its June meeting, RCVS Council agreed a 3% increase in the registration and retention fees for 20019/20 which will now be submitted to the Privy Council for formal approval.

Disciplinary Committee suspends Ireland-based vet from Register

The RCVS Disciplinary Committee has directed the Registrar to suspend a Republic of Ireland-based veterinary surgeon from the Register for a period of two years after he was convicted of 34 charges related to prescribing veterinary medicines.
